Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cameron Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fred Joe!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams tests Joe's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Williams lands a left and a right that send Joe crashing to the mat, dazed. Williams thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Joe changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Williams looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Joe creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Williams sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Joe postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Joe has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Williams!

Williams is squirming around, avoiding Joe's attempts to control the action.

Joe is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Williams throws out a loose jab but Joe uses good head movement to avoid it.
Williams is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Joe.
Joe moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Williams will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Joe closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Joe bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Joe goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Williams has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Joe but great work by Williams.
Joe can't do much from the bottom here.

Williams is not content to let Joe control the position.

Joe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Williams sprawls well initially but Joe persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Williams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joe on the ground.

Joe might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Williams kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Joe takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Cameron Williams is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Williams, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
