The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Harris throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Caputo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Harris as he jumps to the side.
Harris scores with the left hand. Caputo knows he should have avoided that one.
Caputo shoots in and drives through. Harris sprawls well.

Harris feints and as Caputo raises his hands in defense, Harris changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Caputo gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Caputo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Harris's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Harris's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harris turns into Caputo and is now in his guard.

Harris drops back looking for a leg! Caputo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Caputo manages to kick Harris off! Harris jumps back into Caputo's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Caputo wants to sweep but no luck.

Harris thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Caputo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Caputo misses with a takedown attempt

and Harris counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Jon Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joel Caputo.

Harris is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Harris's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Caputo looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Harris has picked Caputo up and slammed him! Caputo can't keep hold of the triangle and Harris manages to pass to side control!
Caputo manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Harris has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Caputo is working away from the top position though.

Caputo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Harris is just riding it out for now. Caputo eventually gives up the hold.

Caputo seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Harris is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
