We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Messer throws a right and a left that Barken avoids nicely.
Barken dodges the punch combination from Messer.
Nice shot by Messer.
Barken's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Barken duly obliges.
Barken fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Barken checks a leg kick nicely.
Messer misses with a double jab
and Messer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barken stuffs the takedown attempt from Messer. Messer gets slowly back to his feet.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Messer, right into the meat.
Barken showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Messer.
Messer tries to clinch but Barken is having none of it.
Messer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Barken circles away.
Messer is breathing heavily.
Messer falls off balance throwing a combination
and Barken counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Some wild striking there from Barken.
Messer tries to clinch but Barken moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Messer looks to land a right hand but Barken moved out of range.
Barken drops Messer with a beautiful combination! Messer stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Barken is looking for the KO!
Messer is rocked!
It looks like Derek Messer has been cut.
Barken throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Messer loses concentration momentarily and Barken pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Messer crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Barken finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
