PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nichiren Daishonin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Horato Muchada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Muchada comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Red - Ordinary World kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Horato Muchada is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nichiren Daishonin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Horato Muchada!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daishonin ducks under a wild hook from Muchada.
Muchada is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Daishonin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Daishonin lands in his opponent's guard.
Muchada is trying to keep Daishonin in close.

Daishonin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Daishonin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Muchada throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Daishonin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Daishonin takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Muchada lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Daishonin has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Daishonin and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Muchada buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Daishonin is breathing heavily.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Daishonin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Muchada - the referee stops the clock and Daishonin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Muchada. Daishonin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Daishonin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Muchada has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Daishonin has managed to get both his arms back between Muchada's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nichiren Daishonin.
