Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Armando Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Armando Salazar is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vera gets caught flat footed, as Salazar shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Salazar wants to control from the top but Vera keeps moving.
Salazar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vera swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Vera had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Salazar defends it easily.

Vera can't keep his opponent in guard - Salazar advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Salazar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vera's head.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Vera throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Salazar's waist but Salazar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vera off to one side.
Salazar just misses with a punch to the body.
Vera keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vera walks forward, straight into a front kick from Salazar.
Vera looks gassed!
Salazar throws a leg kick but Vera checks it.
Salazar throws a right hand that Vera ducks under and follows up with a left that Vera also avoids with ease.
Salazar keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Salazar connects with a right hand. Vera shakes it off.

Salazar scores with a takedown into Vera's guard.

Vera won't allow Salazar to pass to mount.
Vera avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Salazar.

Salazar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vera keeps working.

Vera parries the strikes from Salazar easily there. Salazar is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Vera to escape.

Salazar lands a big shot there that rocks Vera but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Salazar lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
