The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales slips a jab and a cross from The Second.
The Second throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gonzales.
No luck for Gonzales with that takedown attempt.
The Second lands a body shot.
Gonzales tries to close the distance and clinch but The Second swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The Second lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gonzales circles away quickly and effectively.
No joy there for The Second, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The Second drops Gonzales with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gonzales looks back up at him and smiles so The Second waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Jay Gonzales has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The Second connects with a nice cross there... Gonzales is looking wobbly and The Second recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Gonzales to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - The Second jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
