Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pega Pega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Freitas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freitas slips a jab and a cross from Pega.
Pega takes a kick to the side of the head.
Freitas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Pega closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Freitas tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Freitas is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Pega blocks the strikes from Freitas.
Freitas tries to roll over but Pega keeps him under control.
Pega tries to pass the half guard into mount. Freitas knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Freitas holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Freitas slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Pega passes Freitas's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Pega throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Pega works his way into side control.
Pega throws a strike aimed at the side of Freitas's head but Freitas avoids it well.
Freitas looks gassed!

Pega thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Pega has an Americana. Freitas didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Pega is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Pega hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
