Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luke Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackie Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith's entrance music is Momma Said Knock You Out. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Moon's choice of entrance music: Why Can't We Be Friends?. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Moon fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Moon walks into a jab.

Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Moon fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Moon misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Smith.
Moon tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Smith avoids it.

Moon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Smith is just riding it out for now. Moon eventually gives up the hold.

Moon is trying to work for a kimura but Smith is defending well.

Moon is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Smith tries to roll over but Moon keeps him under control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Moon avoids a punch combination nicely.
Moon tries to clinch but Smith moves away

and Smith holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Moon landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Moon has picked Smith up - he's going for a ride! Moon dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Moon tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Smith.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith is trying to maintain the position but Moon is very close to passing his half guard.

Moon decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luke Smith dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Smith counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Moon's guard now.

Moon has his foot on Smith's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smith works his way back into a safe position though.

Moon drops back looking for a leg! Smith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smith manages to kick Moon off! Moon jumps back into Smith's guard.

and Smith counters with a nice double leg into side control. Moon won't be happy with that.
