Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannibal Lyons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Lyons shoots for a takedown but Carwin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lyons shoots in but Carwin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lyons fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carwin avoids it really well and circles away.

Lyons closes the distance and clinches up with Carwin, looking for a takedown. Lyons pushes Carwin against the cage but Carwin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Carwin wants to get back to his feet but Lyons drags him back down.

Lyons remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Lyons drops down looking for an ankle pick but Carwin pulls his leg out and moves away.

Lyons feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
