Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Waqas Malik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malik's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Final Countdown. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Malik on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hughes. Hughes obviously looking to wear him down.

Malik pushes Hughes up against the cage in a clinch.
Malik tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hughes smiles and moves away.
Hughes should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Hughes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sean Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hughes moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Hughes throws the kick towards the body but Malik avoids it.

Malik sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Hughes moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hughes lands a head kick. Malik smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Hughes.
Both fighters circling a little - Hughes finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Malik checks a leg kick.

Hughes lands a nice leg kick that just misses Malik's sensitive parts.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Malik.

Malik is rocked!
Malik will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Hughes feints a jab and as Malik dips his head, Hughes unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Malik right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Malik falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Hughes smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
