Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simo Supermies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Jay Z - Empire State Of Mind. Supermies has chosen Resgate - Rock da Vovó as his entrance music. Simo Supermies acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simo Supermies!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Supermies blocks a head kick by Scott.
Supermies shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Scott pinned against the cage. Scott gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Scott lands with a straight right. Supermies didn't see that one coming.
A telegraphed right hand from Scott misses the target.
Scott misses with a wild combination.

Supermies fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Scott sprawls well initially but Supermies persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Scott tries to roll over but Supermies keeps him under control.
Supermies slows the pace down in half guard.
Scott desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Supermies is working for a submission of some sort.

Supermies is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Scott is trying to stand back up but Supermies is controlling him

Supermies working over Scott with some ground and pound. Scott looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Supermies thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Supermies shoots for a takedown but Scott saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Scott uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Supermies.

Supermies drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Supermies wants to control but Scott is keeping him busy.

Supermies tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Supermies has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Scott is looking for a sweep.

Scott regains half guard, as Supermies was trying to land strikes.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Supermies connects with a nice short shot to Scott's temple.
Supermies throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Scott is trying to maintain the position but Supermies is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Scott throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Supermies.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Scott tries a head kick but it misses.
Scott throws a sloppy head kick and Supermies moves out of range easily.

Supermies shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Scott is trying to defend but Supermies finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Simo Supermies dominated that round.
That's time! Scott's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Supermies ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Scott moves away.
Scott slaps away a takedown attempt from Supermies, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Scott misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Supermies tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Scott swivels and escapes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Supermies looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Scott throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Horrible takedown by Supermies or perhaps it was just good defense by Scott which made him look bad.

Supermies decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Scott is looking to control Supermies's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Scott avoid being mounted?

Scott has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Supermies is working away from the top position though.
Scott is pressing down on Supermies's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Supermies got a little sloppy there for a moment and Scott has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Supermies has managed to get both his arms back between Scott's legs - danger averted.

Scott needs to keep his hands up - Supermies had a free shot at his head there.

and Scott counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Scott throws a shot from downtown. Supermies moves away and avoids it.

Horrible takedown by Supermies or perhaps it was just good defense by Scott which made him look bad.

Scott is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Michael Scott has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Supermies has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Scott is working away from the top position though.

I would just about give that final round to Simo Supermies.
I've got Supermies winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
