Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jan David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Deely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deely comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sorry, You're not a Winner kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Deely!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deely is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
David uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.


It looks like Sean Deely has been cut.

Deely gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Deely fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Deely goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Deely wants to break the clinch but can't.

Deely manages to break the clinch.
Deely steps to the side to avoid the strikes from David.
David connects with a single shot there.
The fight stays on the outside here - David looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
David throws an overhand right that lands on Deely's shoulder, as Deely tries to avoid the shot.
David misses with the combination.
Deely is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

David fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Deely manages to avoid it.
David wants to clinch

and Deely counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for David!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Deely is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Deely takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
David tries to close the distance and clinch but Deely swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
David throws a body punch but Deely moves out of range.
A clash of legs there as Deely blocks the low kick.
David looks to land a left hand but Deely moved out of range nicely.
David throws a nice looking combination but Deely bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
David shoots for a takedown but Deely saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
David slow jab from Deely misses its intended target.
David doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Deely counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Deely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
David looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

David has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Deely can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Deely controlling from the top position.
Deely wants to control from the top but David keeps moving.
Deely is stalling in the full guard.
Deely postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
David is trying to keep Deely in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
David being controlled here, momentarily.
David looking to hit a scissor sweep but Deely is one step ahead there.
Deely has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of David is proving hard to escape from.
Deely stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. David swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Deely really doesn't want to stay on the ground with David. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Deely trying to control but David is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Deely fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. David sprawls well initially but Deely persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Deely tries to pass to full mount but David defends it.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
David works his way to full guard. Good work.

David is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
David is breathing heavily.
David has a closed guard, preventing Deely from standing up.

David has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Deely can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Deely passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Deely stalling.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Deely looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
David avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
David is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Deely.
Deely lands a nice looking body shot.
David throws a shot from downtown. Deely moves away and avoids it.

Deely darts in and clinches David up against the cage.
David changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Deely fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jan David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
David closes the distance but Deely moves to the side
and Deely counters with a three punch combo that has David backing up. David nods at Deely to acknowledge the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Deely moves into the clinch.

Deely jumps guard and drags David to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Deely pulls David in close to prevent any damage.
David pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Deely is keeping the position for now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

David preventing the sweep.
David tries to free his leg and advance position but Deely is retaining full guard.

David is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
David won't allow Deely to get back to his feet.
David trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
David gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Deely counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

David is working an open guard so Deely takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
David misses with a few strikes there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Deely shoots in for a double leg but David sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
David throws a right hand that misses

and Deely counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
David works his way to full guard. Good work.

David escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Deely gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

David has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Deely doesn't defend quickly enough and David has managed to lock this one up! Can Deely escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to David on a fantastic submission victory.
