Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jussi Virtanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and RJ Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Virtanen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stone looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Stone is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Virtanen asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Virtanen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stone for as long as he can get away with.

Virtanen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Virtanen tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Virtanen works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Stone is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Virtanen has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Virtanen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Virtanen has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Virtanen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
