The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donovan keeps the fight on the outside.
Donovan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Melkonyan's head backwards.
Donovan darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Melkonyan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Donovan defends it nicely.
Donovan throws a jab but it's blocked by Melkonyan.
Donovan tests Melkonyan's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Melkonyan drops his hands momentarily and Donovan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
A punch lands to the side of Melkonyan 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Melkonyan is rocked!
Melkonyan circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Donovan. Melkonyan falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Donovan!
