Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jared Kreegans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jared Kreegans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bill West!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

West has closed the distance and engaged Kreegans in a clinch.
Kreegans blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Kreegans wants to get back to striking at distance but West won't allow it.

West tightens his grip and picks Kreegans up, before dumping him to the ground. Kreegans manages to land in guard.
Kreegans is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst West is controlling him.
West with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

West got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kreegans has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, West has managed to get both his arms back between Kreegans's legs - danger averted.
Kreegans wants to stand up but West is controlling him.

Kreegans is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Kreegans looking to hit a scissor sweep but West is one step ahead there.

Kreegans has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. West is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kreegans.
West connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Kreegans some visible discomfort.
West is looking to take a break and control but Kreegans is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

West had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kreegans defends it easily.

Kreegans drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kreegans jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


West connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kreegans. Kreegans circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
West shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kreegans as he avoids it easily.
Jared Kreegans is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kreegans leaves West with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kreegans tries a head kick but it misses.
West uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kreegans.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
West throws a front kick that sends Kreegans stumbling back into the cage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nice sprawl there from Kreegans as West shoots in.
Jared Kreegans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill West.

West has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kreegans is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

West is landing with some decent strikes but Kreegans is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Kreegans is looking to improve his position but West isn't that keen on the idea.

West has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kreegans's face.

West wants to take a breather but Kreegans is having none of it.

West decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Kreegans tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but West swivels and escapes.
West wants to clinch but Kreegans slips to the side
and Kreegans counters with a straight right hand.

West shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kreegans napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Bill West comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well West has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
