The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gari drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Mourinho managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Gari.
Gari wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mourinho keeps working.
Mourinho is trying to control Gari's posture but Gari avoids it.
Mourinho is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gari is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Gari tries to advance to mount but Mourinho denies him.

That was a close round but I would say that Jose Mourinho will probably get the nod.

Mourinho throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mourinho moves in looking to clinch but Gari pushes him off.
Mourinho fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gari manages to avoid it.

Mourinho shoots for a double leg takedown but Gari sprawls well. He's pushed Mourinho's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mourinho shoots in looking for a takedown. Gari tries to sprawl out of it but Mourinho keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gari manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gari throws a head kick that Mourinho semi-blocks.

Gari feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
