The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a head kick that misses.
Brown tries a head kick but it misses.
Sawyer avoids the head kick by Brown.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sawyer.
Sawyer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brown.
Brown throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sawyer.
Brown throws a hook but Sawyer blocks it.
Sawyer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Brown misses with an uppercut.
Brown throws a head kick but Sawyer moves out of range.

Sawyer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brown to the mat! Brown manages to get full guard.
Brown might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sawyer works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Sawyer is nestled in close to Brown, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Sawyer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brown doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sawyer.
Brown is trying to stand up here but Sawyer is controlling him well.

Sawyer is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brown has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sawyer works his way into full mount!
Brown knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sawyer on the ground.
BOOM! Sawyer connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Sawyer has hold of Brown's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Brown manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Brown is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Sawyer landing strikes from the mount and Brown is in trouble!

Sawyer quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Sawyer but it's paid off an Brown is forced to tap! Nice work by Sawyer.
