Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Per Svensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDonald has chosen Kanye West - Stronger as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svensson wants to clinch.
McDonald moves away from the strike by Svensson.
McDonald is looking to score with low kicks.
Svensson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Svensson takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

McDonald thows a body kick. Svensson tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Per Svensson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Svensson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

McDonald throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Svensson's waist but Svensson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McDonald off to one side.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

McDonald is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Svensson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Svensson shrugs it off.
