The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips closes this distance looking for a takedown but Polumbo circles away.
Phillips is looking to clinch.
Polumbo fails to land with a series of punches.
Polumbo moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Colin Phillips has been cut.
Phillips fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Polumbo manages to avoid it.
Polumbo throws a low kick but it's checked well by Phillips.

Polumbo throws an elbow but it misses.
Polumbo pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Phillips is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Polumbo scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Polumbo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Phillips looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Polumbo is fending him off so far but Phillips persists. Nope, Polumbo circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Colin Phillips. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Phillips tries to close the distance and clinch up but Polumbo swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Polumbo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Phillips stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Polumbo lands with a straight right. Phillips didn't see that one coming.
Polumbo throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Phillips takes one on the button.
Polumbo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Polumbo rushes Phillips with punches - Phillips moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Phillips goes down! Polumbo follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
