The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanderson misses with a straight left.
Sanderson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pikkarainen did well to prevent Sanderson getting side control.
Sanderson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pikkarainen is just riding it out for now. Sanderson eventually gives up the hold.
Sanderson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Sanderson is working for a submission of some sort.
