Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

geerdes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
geerdes tries to pass to full mount but Butthead defends it.

geerdes is looking for a kimura here.
Well, if geerdes is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
geerdes trying to control the action but Butthead is working from the bottom.
geerdes lands strikes from half guard.
Butthead tries to get to full guard but geerdes has control of the leg.

Butthead is refusing to be controlled, as geerdes sits in half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Butthead rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but geerdes moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

geerdes shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than geerdes was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
geerdes with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

geerdes fails in his attempt to clinch.
geerdes moves in looking to clinch but Butthead pushes him off.

geerdes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - geerdes lands in his opponent's guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Butthead is breathing heavily.
geerdes trying to control but Butthead is working from the bottom.
geerdes works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Butthead is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of geerdes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take geerdes's back!

Butthead is looking for the choke from the back position but geerdes is controlling his hands well.
geerdes manages to reverse the position and now he's in Butthead's guard. Nice work there by geerdes.
geerdes wants to control from the top but Butthead keeps moving.

geerdes is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Butthead has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. geerdes is looking to defend but Butthead has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for geerdes! Butthead pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, geerdes taps out and this one is all over!
