Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
East has a takedown stuffed.
Tokanawa throws a right and a left that East avoids nicely.
East closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tokanawa circles away.
East shoots in for a double leg but Tokanawa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brad East. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tokanawa misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from East.

Tokanawa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
East is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Tokanawa won't allow East to sweep him here.
East controls Tokanawa momentarily but Tokanawa frees himself.
Tokanawa passes East's left leg - he's now in half guard.
East gets back to full guard.

Tokanawa postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! East is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tokanawa, into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
East trying to control but Tokanawa is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
East stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tokanawa swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tokanawa has his feet on East's thighs here. He's pushed East off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! East screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
