Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, John Green!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.


It looks like Dave Harley has been cut.
Green swats away the attempt to clinch by Harley.
Green connects with a jab.
Green throws a series of punches but Harley avoids them all with ease.

Green shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Harley napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Green is chipping away with strikes.

Green goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Harley has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Green but great work by Harley.

Harley on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Harley tries to get out of the position.

Green drops back looking for a leg! Harley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Harley manages to kick Green off! Green jumps back into Harley's guard.
Green wants to stand but Harley has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Green dominated that round.

That's time! Harley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Harley swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Green counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Green shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Harley defends it nicely.

enabling Green to counter with a crisp jab.
Green listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Harley sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Green closes the distance and clinches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Green's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Green clinches up with Harley and pushes him back against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Harley tries to pull guard but Green won't allow it.

Harley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Green smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Harley. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Green shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Green decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Green throws a right and a left that both miss.

Green loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Green stands up over Harley, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Green is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Green drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Harley manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Green has Harley in his guard.

Green is looking for a triangle here but Harley uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harley creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Harley is putting a hurting on Green here, landing some big shots from side control.
You can see the frustration on Green's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Green is not content to let Harley control the position.
Green gets back to half guard.

Harley is looking for a kimura but Green is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Harley to get the leverage.

Harley has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Green to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Harley is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Green pulls down on the head and he's put Harley to sleep! This one is all over!
