Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kaylan Heath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Heath might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Showdown - Black Eyed Peas. Kaylan Heath has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kaylan Heath!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hector Ramos!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos throws out a loose jab but Heath uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ramos lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Ramos throws a shot from downtown. Heath moves away and avoids it.
Ramos lands with an uppercut that bounces Heath off the cage and back into rage.
Ramos connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Ramos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ramos gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Heath drops back looking for a leg! Ramos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ramos manages to kick Heath off! Heath jumps back into Ramos's guard.
Ramos wants to stand but Heath is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Heath passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Ramos is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Heath has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Heath shoots in looking for a takedown. Ramos tries to sprawl out of it but Heath keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ramos manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ramos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Heath fails with a takedown attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ramos circles away from the clinch attempt.

Heath throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ramos was covering up waiting for the punch and Heath finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Ramos is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Heath cracks Ramos with a solid left hand.
Ramos wants to get back to his feet but Heath is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ramos can do anything to dispel that myth.

Heath has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Heath has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Heath there as he acknowledges the shot.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Heath fails in his attempt to clinch.
Heath wants to clinch.
Ramos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ramos lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Ramos lands a lovely overhand right.
Heath dodges the punch combination from Ramos.
Ramos misses with a wild combination.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ramos throws out a loose jab but Heath uses good head movement to avoid it.
