A fine choice. Evan Alston is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alston tries to clinch up.
Alston doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.
Alston pushes Smith up against the cage in a clinch.
Smith is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Alston gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Alston tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Smith can't find room to land a body shot as Alston controls the action.
Alston gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Smith looking for a takedown.
Alston lands a knee to the body.
Smith digs a right hand into Alston's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Alston's gas tank.
Smith tries to score a body lock takedown but Alston shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Evan Alston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Smith.
Alston tries to land a knee to the head but Smith blocks with his arms.
Smith goes for a takedown attempt but Alston pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Alston fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Smith, pushing him back against the cage.

Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Alston with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Alston pulls Smith into guard.
Smith tries to free his leg and advance position but Alston is retaining full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alston looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Alston is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Smith looking to pass the guard.

Alston working for a triangle but Smith defends it easily.
Alston is breathing heavily.
Smith drops back looking for a leg! Alston is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Alston manages to kick Smith off! Smith jumps back into Alston's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alston is trying to keep Smith in close.
Smith drops back, looking for a kneebar! Alston looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Alston looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Alston!
Alston is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Smith has escaped the position, nice work there.
Smith is trying to improve his position.
Smith is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Alston off and has taken his back!

Smith is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Alston defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Smith gets his hands free as Alston looks to control.

Alston is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Smith gets his way!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Alston is in real trouble here. Smith gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Alston is tapping out! Smith wins by rear naked choke!
