The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

St Pierre decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Abu Basha wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

St Pierre wants to work for an arm triangle but Abu Basha is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
St Pierre uses his free foot to push down on Abu Basha's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Abu Basha.

St Pierre is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Abu Basha has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Abu Basha throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

Abu Basha has left one of his arms exposed and St Pierre doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Abu Basha screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
