Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Evans might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Zemitan. Hammer has chosen Nine Inch Nails - Wish as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richard Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Hammer!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Hammer feints and as Evans raises his hands in defense, Hammer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Evans is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Evans avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Evans looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hammer is one step ahead there.
Hammer tries to free his leg and advance position but Evans is retaining full guard.
Hammer landing with the ground and pound.
Hammer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Hammer stops Evans from standing up.
Evans knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hammer on the ground.
Hammer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Evans is keeping the position for now.
Hammer passes into half guard.
Evans gets back to full guard.
Hammer missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Hammer won't allow Evans to sweep him here.
Hammer prevents Evans from getting back to his feet.
Evans looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Hammer passes Evans's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Hammer looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Hammer scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Evans blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hammer.
Evans is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hammer throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Hammer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Evans is trying to get back to full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Evans keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A telegraphed right hand from Hammer misses the target.
Hammer throws a big shot that misses.
Hammer thows a left - swing and a miss!
Evans throws out a loose jab but Hammer uses good head movement to avoid it.
Evans wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Horrible takedown by Hammer or perhaps it was just good defense by Evans which made him look bad.
Evans ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hammer moves away.
Evans throws a jab when Hammer was well out of range.
Evans tries to bum rush Hammer with a series of wild strikes but Hammer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Evans ducks right into an uppercut from Hammer.
Hammer cracks Evans with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Evans misses with an uppercut. Hammer saw that one coming.
Evans tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hammer was well out of range. Poor timing from Evans.
Hammer misses with a straight right.
Hammer lands a nice shot that snaps Evans's head back.
No joy there for Evans, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Evans fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Evans closes the distance and clinches.
Hammer lands a body shot.
Hammer has Evans pushed against the cage.
Evans misses with the head strike.
Evans lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Jack Hammer has been cut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A nice left hand lands by Evans.
Hammer scores with an uppercut up the middle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Evans fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Evans lands a body shot.
Hammer blocking some punches.
Hammer is trying to break the clinch but Evans is controlling him.
Hammer taking a breather.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Evans creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hammer struggles to land a body shot inside as Evans controls his hands.
Hammer has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Evans avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Hammer looks gassed!
Hammer blocks an uppercut.
Hammer wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Evans has him pressed against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Evans.
Hammer working aggressively here.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Hammer.
Evans lands a nice shot to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Evans lands on the inside with an uppercut.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Evans.
Evans misses with a short punch on the inside.
Evans misses with a punch on the inside.
Hammer throws a head punch that misses.
Hammer misses with a hook from the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Richard Evans will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jack Hammer's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Hammer moves forwards but Evans connects with a nice, crisp jab.
A combination from Evans does no damage.
Evans throws out a loose jab but Hammer uses good head movement to avoid it.
Evans tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hammer was well out of range. Poor timing from Evans.
Evans swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A slow jab from Hammer misses its intended target.
Hammer looks to land a left hand but Evans moved out of range nicely.
Hammer dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Evans fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hammer manages to avoid it.
Evans uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hammer.
Hammer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hammer missing with a left hand there. Evans was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Evans scores with a nice strike.
Evans slips under a jab.

Evans cracks Hammer with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hammer looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Evans finish him?


Hammer is rocked!


That has opened up Jack Hammer's cut even more.
Evans is looking to clinch but Hammer is avoiding it.
Hammer is still on wobbly legs! Can Evans finish him?
Hammer is holding his hands too far apart here. Evans throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Hammer is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
