Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Herrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kris Coleman has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vincent Herrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kris Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herrera lands a glancing blow to the side of Coleman's head.

Coleman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Herrera is looking to improve his position but Coleman isn't that keen on the idea.
Coleman manages to capitalize on a mistake by Herrera to take his back!
A bit of a pause in the action here. Coleman controlling the positon.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Coleman trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Herrera looking very determined here, making life difficult for Coleman.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coleman is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Herrera knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Herrera for a finish.

Herrera manages to reverse the position and now he's in Coleman's guard. Nice work there by Herrera.
Herrera won't allow Coleman to sweep him here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Coleman wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Coleman is looking to stand up but Herrera isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Herrera paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Coleman counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Herrera wants to improve his position but Coleman is controlling well.
Herrera moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Herrera is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Coleman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Herrera has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Coleman has managed to get both his arms back between Herrera's legs - danger averted.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Herrera throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Coleman was covering up waiting for the punch and Herrera finishes the takedown easily into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Coleman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Herrera doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Herrera manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Coleman throws a nice looking combination but Herrera bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vincent Herrera. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Coleman manages to pull guard.
Herrera throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Coleman works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Coleman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Coleman takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Coleman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Herrera is just riding it out for now. Coleman eventually gives up the hold.

Coleman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Herrera swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Coleman looking to sit in guard and control but Herrera gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Herrera decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Herrera's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Herrera turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Herrera manages to end up in side control.
Herrera slows the pace down.
Herrera's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Herrera looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Coleman!
Herrera pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Herrera goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Coleman is on top in guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
