Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Helio Alkofer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kensi Himura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Himura has chosen My time is now as his entrance music. Kensi Himura is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Helio Alkofer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kensi Himura!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alkofer will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Himura thows a body shot but no joy.
Himura wants to clinch up but Alkofer keeps it at a distance.
Alkofer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Alkofer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Helio Alkofer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alkofer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Himura sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Alkofer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Himura tries to clinch but Alkofer is having none of it.
Himura looks for the body kick but Alkofer saw that one coming.

and Himura counters with a nice body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Himura misses the shot to the body.
Himura throws a half hearted mid kick.

Alkofer darts in trying to clinch
and Himura makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Alkofer really felt that one!

Himura tries to free his leg and advance position but Alkofer is retaining full guard.
Himura wants to control from the top but Alkofer keeps moving.
Himura won't allow Alkofer to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alkofer is breathing heavily.

Himura drops back looking for a leg! Alkofer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Alkofer manages to kick Himura off! Himura jumps back into Alkofer's guard.

Alkofer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Himura can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Himura must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Himura controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Alkofer controls Himura momentarily but Himura frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Himura thows a big elbow that misses.
Alkofer can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Himura controls the pace.

Alkofer keeping moving, preventing Himura from controlling successfully.
Himura landing with the ground and pound.
Himura is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Himura in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Alkofer closes the distance looking to clinch
and Himura connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Alkofer looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Himura!
Himura really wants to buck Alkofer off and get back to his feet.
Alkofer tries to control but Himura wriggling away.
Himura is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Alkofer has taken his back!
Himura is trying to stand back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kensi Himura dominated that round.
That's time! Alkofer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Himura counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Himura.
Himura wants to pass the guard but Alkofer is keeping the position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Himura decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Alkofer misses with a takedown
and Himura counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Himura misses with an attempted mid kick.
Helio Alkofer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Himura wants to clinch.

Alkofer drives through with a takedown into guard.
Alkofer trying to control the position from guard on top but Himura is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Alkofer won't allow Himura to get back to his feet.
Alkofer wants to control from the top but Himura keeps moving.
Himura is looking to stand up but Alkofer isn't so interested in that idea.

Himura pushes Alkofer off and scrambles back to his feet.
Himura takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Himura counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Himura doesn't manage to clinch there - Alkofer circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Alkofer. Himura does a little dance to reset his feet.
Himura lets loose with a powerful body kick. Alkofer will feel that in the morning.

Alkofer jumps into guard, dragging Himura to the mat.

Himura is pushing down on Alkofer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Alkofer is fighting to maintain full guard but Himura has managed to sneak the leg through.
Himura is controlling the pace.
Himura not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Alkofer wants to get back to full guard.
Himura is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Himura has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Alkofer works to full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Helio Alkofer. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Himura working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Himura feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Alkofer's calf.

and Alkofer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Himura fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Alkofer tries for a takedown but Himura circles away easily
and Himura finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Himura buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Himura throws the kick towards the body but Alkofer avoids it.
Himura throws a front kick that sends Alkofer stumbling back into the cage.

and Alkofer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Himura's guard.

Himura has his feet on Alkofer's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Alkofer can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Himura controls the pace.
Himura wanted to stand there but Alkofer had control of the position.

Himura is looking to work some ground and pound but Alkofer has wrist control.
Himura is working Alkofer over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Alkofer doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Himura cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kensi Himura is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Helio Alkofer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Alkofer throws a leg kick that is checked

and Himura counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Himura controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Helio Alkofer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Alkofer wants to get back to his feet but Himura is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

I would just about give that final round to Kensi Himura.
Well Himura has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
