The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrera throws a nice outside leg kick.
Kapers shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kapers was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Barrera is squirming around, avoiding Kapers's attempts to control the action.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Kapers prevents Barrera from getting the reversal.
Kapers working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Barrera turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Kapers off and cradles Barrera's limp body as Kapers celebrates with his corner.
