Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Domagoj Kovacic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Big John kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! John Smith is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kovacic.
Smith throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Kovacic.
Kovacic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Kovacic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A lazy left from Kovacic finds it's target.

It looks like John Smith has been cut.
Kovacic dives in and grabs Smith's left leg, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes down on Kovacic's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Domagoj Kovacic. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith lands a two punch combo.
Kovacic shoots for a takedown but Smith saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Domagoj Kovacic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kovacic keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A slapping body kick lands there for Smith.
Kovacic is looking to clinch.
Kovacic throws a big shot that misses.

Smith scores with a nice right hand.
Horrible takedown by Kovacic or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith which made him look bad.
Kovacic throws a front kick aimed at Smith's knee but Smith avoids it well.
Kovacic wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance.
Kovacic throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Smith counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kovacic is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Smith misses with a double jab.
Kovacic shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense.
Kovacic has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kovacic doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kovacic closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Kovacic pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Smith lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Kovacic tries to land a body kick
and Smith counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Kovacic is breathing heavily.
Kovacic throws a combination that misses
and Smith counters with a nice uppercut.
Smith scores with a three punch combo!
A head kick from Smith lands but Kovacic takes it in his stride.
Kovacic tries to clinch
and Smith counters with a one-two to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith connects with a high kick.
Smith lands with a kick to the temple. Kovacic shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Kovacic is rocked!
The fighters circle, before Smith throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Kovacic's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Smith lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
