Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Sharp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Paul Goullett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sharp comes to the cage accompanied by Toxic Holocaust - Nuke The Cross. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Sharp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Paul Goullett!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharp tries to clinch up.
Goullett circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sharp tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sharp tries to clinch but Goullett is having none of it.
Sharp is looking to clinch but Goullett is avoiding it.
Goullett on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sharp. Sharp obviously looking to wear him down.
Goullett fails with the takedown.
Sharp misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sharp moves in looking to clinch but Goullett pushes him off.
Sharp pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Sharp tries to clinch but Goullett is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Goullett tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sharp sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Goullett somewhat.
Sharp moves in looking to clinch but Goullett pushes him off.
Goullett shoots in for a takedown but Sharp shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jack Sharp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Paul Goullett.
Sharp tries to clinch up but Goullett circles away and keeps his distance.

Sharp gets caught flat footed, as Goullett shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Goullett is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Goullett thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Goullett drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Goullett jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Goullett drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sharp dives on top into guard.
Goullett looks gassed!
Sharp throws a strike but Goullett rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Goullett is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sharp is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sharp has escaped and now he's on top!
Sharp tries to stand but Goullett is controlling from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sharp throws a strike but Goullett rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Goullett drops back looking for a leg! Sharp is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sharp manages to kick Goullett off! Goullett jumps back into Sharp's guard.

Sharp kicks Goullett off and gets to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Goullett tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sharp swivels and escapes.
Goullett keeps the fight on the outside.
Sharp misses with a takedown

and Goullett counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sharp won't be happy with that.

Goullett tries for a kimura but Sharp is defending well.
Sharp wants to get back to his feet but Goullett drags him back down.

Goullett is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sharp has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jean Paul Goullett dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Goullett scores a takedown into full mount!
Sharp working to try and regain half guard.
Sharp wants to control but Goullett is having none of it.
Sharp knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Goullett on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goullett dominating with strikes here.

Goullett is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Goullett extends the arm and Sharp is forced to tap!
