Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monteiro clobbers Cobos with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Cobos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Monteiro throws a series of punches but Cobos avoids them all with ease.
Cobos misses with a head kick.
Cobos is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Monteiro's half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cobos connects with a nice short shot to Monteiro's temple.
Monteiro tries to kick Cobos off but Cobos keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Cobos tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Cobos lands strikes from half guard.
Cobos stops Monteiro from getting back to his feet.
Monteiro keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Monteiro wants to get back to his feet.
Cobos is keen to just control but Monteiro is a slippery customer.
Cobos prevents Monteiro from standing back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Monteiro keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Monteiro lands a nice looking body shot.
Monteiro looks to score with a jab to the body but Cobos is just out of range.
Monteiro misses with a two punch combination.
Cobos moves forwards but Monteiro connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Monteiro scores with a hook to the body. Cobos takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Monteiro changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Monteiro cracks Cobos with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Monteiro throws a right and a left that Cobos avoids nicely.

Cobos takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Monteiro drops Cobos with a beautiful combination! Cobos stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Monteiro is looking for the KO!
Cobos is rocked!
Cobos is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cobos drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Oh Cobos is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Monteiro sneaks out the side door and pushes Cobos away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Monteiro connects with a body shot.
Cobos seems to have got his legs back now.
Monteiro connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Monteiro wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Chi Myong Monteiro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Monteiro throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Cobos stumbling backwards into the cage! Cobos bounces back off the cage towards Monteiro, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Monteiro lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Monteiro celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Chi Myong Monteiro!
