The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a nice looking combination but Barnes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Barnes scores with a takedown into Silva's guard.
Barnes advances position into side control!
Barnes misses with the ground and pound.
Barnes advances to mount.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barnes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee warns Silva that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

It looks like Carl Silva has been cut.
Barnes throws some wild stikes that Silva manages to avoid easily.
Barnes connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Barnes lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That has opened up Carl Silva's cut even more.

Barnes postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Silva in real trouble here! The ref calls for Silva to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
