The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as mack accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
mack lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by mack.
mack throws a sloppy head kick and Yavinckski moves out of range easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
mack throws a series of strikes that have Yavinckski backpedaling.

mack is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
