Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Darth Nihilist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kustaa Pohjanala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pohjanala has chosen Scooter - Fire as his entrance music. Kustaa Pohjanala is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pohjanala tries to clinch but Nihilist is having none of it.
Nihilist swats away the attempt to clinch by Pohjanala.

Pohjanala using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Nihilist has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Nihilist avoids a wild elbow strike from Pohjanala.

Nihilist goes for a takedown attempt but Pohjanala pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Nihilist counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Nihilist drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pohjanala looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pohjanala looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pohjanala!

Nihilist is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Nihilist scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Pohjanala manages to mount him!
Pohjanala wants to control the pace but Nihilist is squirming around nicely.

Pohjanala is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Nihilist has managed to escape the submission attempt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Pohjanala can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nihilist is looking to escape.

Nihilist defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Pohjanala.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pohjanala working for a choke but Nihilist is defending well.
I really don't envy Nihilist right now.

A close round but Kustaa Pohjanala will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Nihilist counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Nihilist is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pohjanala sees it coming and defends easily.

Nihilist is looking for a kimura but Pohjanala is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nihilist to get the leverage.
Nihilist passes to full mount!

Nihilist goes for an armbar but Pohjanala turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Pohjanala.

Pohjanala has gone for a leg lock! Nihilist slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pohjanala's guard.

Nihilist drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pohjanala manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nihilist has Pohjanala in his guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Pohjanala stands up from Nihilist's guard - Pohjanala perhaps looking for a knockout.

Pohjanala closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Pohjanala gets underhooks to prevent Nihilist's takedown attempt.

Pohjanala throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Nihilist blocks it with crossed arms.
Pohjanala lands a knee to the head.
Pohjanala gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Nihilist.
Nihilist drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pohjanala pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Nihilist counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Nihilist.

Nihilist drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Pohjanala dives on top into guard.

Pohjanala drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pohjanala jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Nihilist is looking to stand back up but Pohjanala counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Nihilist.

Nihilist moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Nihilist looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pohjanala is one step ahead there.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Darth Nihilist dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

and Nihilist counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pohjanala!
Pohjanala is desperately trying to improve his position but Nihilist has a good base and remains in mount.

Nihilist goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Pohjanala is on top in guard.

Nihilist pushes Pohjanala off looking to stand but Pohjanala dives back in and keeps control.

Nihilist is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Nihilist pushes Pohjanala away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pohjanala gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Pohjanala is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nihilist is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Nihilist is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pohjanala off and has taken his back!

Nihilist is looking for a rear naked choke here but Pohjanala reverses the position brilliantly into Nihilist's guard!
Pohjanala slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Nihilist throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Pohjanala escapes and throws Nihilist's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Nihilist tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pohjanala wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Kustaa Pohjanala.
I think Pohjanala has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
