The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puukko dives in and grabs Tays's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tays pushes down on Puukko's head and hops out.
Puukko walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Jarno Puukko has been cut.
Puukko takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Tays misses with a body shot.
Puukko defending well as Tays loads up on a big left hand.
Tays throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tays's corner calls for a 1-2. Tays obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Tays throws an overhand right that lands on Puukko's shoulder, as Puukko tries to avoid the shot.
Puukko tries for a takedown but Tays sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tays tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Puukko was well out of range. Poor timing from Tays.
Tays throws out a loose jab but Puukko uses good head movement to avoid it.

Puukko is breathing heavily.
Puukko throws a nice looking combination but Tays bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tays fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Puukko manages to avoid it.
Puukko walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Tays cracks Puukko with an open hand slap.

Tays digs a good body shot into Puukko's ribs.
Tays misses with a wild combination.
Tays misses with a jab, cross combination.
Puukko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Tays thows a body shot but no joy.
Puukko tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tays sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Puukko somewhat.

Puukko drops his hands momentarily and Tays takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

The crowd cheers as Tays lands an impressive looking overhand right. Puukko doesn't seem phased though.

Puukko moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Tays connects with a body shot.
Puukko doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Tays keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tays tries to bum rush Puukko with a series of wild strikes but Puukko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
