Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Gantrain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gantrain comes into the arena with Animal I have Become blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Greg Owens enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens with a jab.
Owens tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Gantrain is able to avoid easily.
Owens scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gantrain doesn't seem bothered though.
Owens tries to bum rush Gantrain with a series of wild strikes but Gantrain uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gantrain takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The crowd cheers as Owens lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gantrain doesn't seem phased though.

Gantrain feints and as Owens raises his hands in defense, Gantrain changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Owens is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Owens can do anything to dispel that myth.
