PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brendan O Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burcee Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pain is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgARus5JFQY. Brendan O Sullivan had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Sullivan throws a sloppy head kick and Pain moves out of range easily.
Pain throws a head kick but O Sullivan moves out of range.

Pain clinches up against the cage.

O Sullivan has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pain uses from the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

O Sullivan tries to circle away but Pain has him pinned against the cage.

The referee is keeping an eye on Pain - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Pain connects with a nasty looking knee right to O Sullivan's face.

O Sullivan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pain tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

O Sullivan lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


O Sullivan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pain looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
O Sullivan keeps the fight on the outside.

Pain misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pain avoids a kick to the body.
Pain tries to close the distance and clinch but O Sullivan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

O Sullivan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pain, pushing him back against the cage.
Pain is trying to stall.
O Sullivan fails to pull guard.
Pain prevents O Sullivan from breaking the clinch.
