Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nines Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gumby Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodriguez comes to the cage accompanied by Angel - Massive Attack. Gumby Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Rodriguez keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Jones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rodriguez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Rodriguez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Rodriguez is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea.
Jones postures up in Rodriguez's guard and throws a big left but Rodriguez blocks it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jones is looking to clinch but Rodriguez is avoiding it.
Nice shot lands for Rodriguez.
Jones takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jones moves out of range of the strikes.

Rodriguez lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Rodriguez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones.
