The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Ly misses its intended target.
Wittman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ly as he avoids it easily.

Ly cracks Wittman with an uppercut from hell and Wittman crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Ly's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

It looks like Marcus Wittman has been cut.

Ly drops back looking for a leg! Wittman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wittman manages to kick Ly off! Ly jumps back into Wittman's guard.

Wittman has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ly is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wittman.
