Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sergeant Slaughter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucio Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slaughter comes to the cage accompanied by Ladies and Gentlemen. Vera has chosen Iron Man - Black Sabbath as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sergeant Slaughter!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lucio Vera!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Slaughter.
Slaughter throws a series of punches but Vera moves out of range.
Vera avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vera throws a head kick but Slaughter moves out of range.
Vera throws a body punch but Slaughter moves out of range.
Vera wants to clinch but Slaughter slips to the side
and Slaughter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Vera is rocked!
Vera looks for a takedown but Slaughter sprawls well.

and Slaughter counters with a nice right hand that sends Vera toppling to the canvas! Vera scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Slaughter finish him?!
Vera is still on wobbly legs! Can Slaughter finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vera just misses with a punch to the body.
Slaughter throws a body punch but Vera moves out of range.
Vera closes the distance looking to clinch
and Slaughter counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Vera seems to have recovered his senses.
A swing and a miss from Slaughter.
Vera throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Slaughter sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Vera ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Slaughter drives through and clinches with Vera against the cage.
Vera missing with knees to the body.
Vera stalling in the clinch but Slaughter improves position.
Vera tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Vera blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Slaughter lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Vera fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
The referee calls for Vera to work.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Slaughter scores with a hook to the body.
Vera's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Lucio Vera.
Slaughter lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Vera closes the distance looking to clinch
letting Slaughter counter with a right hand.
Vera throws the kick towards the body but Slaughter avoids it.
Sergeant Slaughter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Vera.
Lucio Vera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vera just misses with a punch to the body.
Vera tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Vera is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Slaughter counters with a crisp right that sends Vera to the canvas! Slaughter follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
