Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Resnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Balboa is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: eye of the tiger. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Resnar tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Resnar moves in looking to clinch but Balboa pushes him off.

Resnar gets a takedown into half guard.
Balboa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Resnar is working away from the top position though.
Balboa manages to get to full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Resnar's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

It looks like Rocky Balboa has been cut.

Balboa is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Balboa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Resnar is aware though and is defending well.
Resnar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Balboa is looking for a triangle but Resnar pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Resnar has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Resnar thows a big elbow that misses.

Balboa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Resnar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Resnar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Balboa tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Balboa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Resnar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Resnar distracts Balboa with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Resnar postures up and lands a big shot to Balboa's brow.

Balboa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Resnar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Balboa is keeping the position for now.

Resnar is working Balboa over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The cut above Rocky Balboa's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Resnar gets to his feet and stands over Balboa, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Balboa felt that one! Resnar unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Balboa from any more punishment!
