Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Acie Deece (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deece closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Kurt Angle has been cut.
A combination from Deece does no damage.
Deece throws a head kick but Angle moves out of range.
Deece circles away from the clinch attempt.
Angle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Angle tries to close the distance and clinch but Deece swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Deece tries to bum rush Angle with a series of wild strikes but Angle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Angle fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Deece looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Angle moves into the clinch successfully.

Deece is fighting off a takedown attempt but Angle is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Deece to the mat. Deece regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Deece is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Angle seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
