Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Doug Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sumi Gaeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gaeshi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Welcome to the Jungle kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Doug Marsh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sumi Gaeshi!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaeshi tries to clinch but Marsh is having none of it.
Gaeshi is looking to chop away at Marsh's legs.

Marsh closes the distance and clinches.
Marsh goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Marsh lands with a light punch inside.

Marsh works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Gaeshi is rocked!
Marsh throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gaeshi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

and Marsh counters by moving into the clinch.
Marsh goes for a takedown attempt but Gaeshi pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Marsh looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gaeshi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Marsh winds up and cracks Gaeshi with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Marsh seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Marsh on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Marsh tries to get out of the position.

Sumi Gaeshi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Gaeshi lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Gaeshi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Gaeshi might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Marsh kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
