The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Royal pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gordon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gordon throws the left hand but Royal avoids the punch easily.
Gordon throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Royal's head.

It looks like Sam Royal has been cut.
Gordon throws a lazy head kick
and Royal counters with a right hand to the body.
Gordon fails with a takedown attempt.
Gordon dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Royal. That did some damage!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Royal lands with a slapping head kick.
Royal scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Royal will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Royal takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Royal lands a big head kick that sends Gordon tumbling to the mat! Royal takes a step backwards and waves Gordon back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Gordon throws a sloppy head kick
and Royal counters with a crisp right that sends Gordon to the canvas! Royal follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
