And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bo Gable!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gable attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Shlemenko closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gable did well to prevent Shlemenko getting side control.

Shlemenko wants to work for an arm triangle but Gable is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Shlemenko is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Shlemenko seems to be working for a kimura but Gable defends the submission attempt.

Gable really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shlemenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Gable is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Shlemenko wants to control the pace but Gable is squirming around nicely.
Shlemenko is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gable is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shlemenko has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gable is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Gable's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Bo Gable seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shlemenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gable pinned against the cage. Gable gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gable moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Shlemenko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bo Gable is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gable throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
No luck for Shlemenko with that takedown attempt.
Shlemenko circles away from the clinch attempt.
Shlemenko shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gable as he avoids it easily.

Bo Gable showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Shlemenko bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Shlemenko goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gable has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Shlemenko but great work by Gable.
Gable is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Shlemenko will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gable in particular looking to stall.
