Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leo Chapman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Mousard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leo Chapman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Mousard!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mousard fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Michael Mousard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chapman shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Mousard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chapman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chapman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Chapman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mousard defends it well.

Chapman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mousard with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Chapman is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Chapman is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Chapman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mousard for as long as he can get away with.
Mousard tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Chapman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Mousard should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Chapman is nestled in close to Mousard, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Chapman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mousard sprawls well. Mousard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chapman gets slowly back to his feet.

Mousard throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mousard can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leo Chapman dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Michael Mousard's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Leo Chapman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Chapman jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mousard manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Chapman content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Chapman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Chapman swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
