Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between JM Sarino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Pejkaiya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Piotr Pejkaiya!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pejkaiya has a takedown stuffed.

Pejkaiya is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, if Pejkaiya is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Sarino wants to get back to his feet.
Pejkaiya stalling.
Pejkaiya thows a huge punch but Sarino dodges it nicely.
Sarino makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sarino.
Pejkaiya prevents Sarino from getting back to his feet.

Sarino doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Pejkaiya makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Pejkaiya drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sarino manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pejkaiya has Sarino in his guard.
Sarino is breathing heavily.
Sarino trying to stand up but can't free himself from Pejkaiya's guard.
Pejkaiya looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sarino is one step ahead there.
Sarino has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Pejkaiya escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sarino gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sarino might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sarino lands a couple of elbows.
Pejkaiya is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Sarino throws a head kick but Pejkaiya moves out of range.

Sarino throws a combination. Pejkaiya tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Pejkaiya shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Sarino decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sarino knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pejkaiya on the ground.
Pejkaiya is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Sarino decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Pejkaiya fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Pejkaiya counters with a shoot takedown. Sarino fights it but they end up in guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Pejkaiya decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sarino wants to control but Pejkaiya is keeping busy.

Pejkaiya's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Despite being in the dominant position, Piotr Pejkaiya just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

JM Sarino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Piotr Pejkaiya.

Piotr Pejkaiya showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Pejkaiya has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sarino can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Pejkaiya is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Pejkaiya looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Pejkaiya looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sarino with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Pejkaiya is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Pejkaiya is taking a breather. Sarino says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Pejkaiya decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

and Pejkaiya counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sarino!
