Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Khun Kasem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aer Werst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aer Werst will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Khun Kasem!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aer Werst!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Werst lands a really nice looking cross but Kasem seems unphased.
Werst tries to clinch up but Kasem circles away and keeps his distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Werst doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Werst swings wildly with an uppercut but Kasem uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kasem fails to pull guard.
Kasem changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Werst fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Kasem scores a takedown into full mount!
Werst is working to get back to half guard.
Kasem wants to control the pace but Werst is squirming around nicely.
Kasem unloads with some shots from mount but Werst bucks and avoids them well.

Werst is trying to escape the mount.
Werst is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Werst can't escape the position.
Werst is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kasem won't let Werst get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Werst tries to hold on but Kasem pushes him away.
Kasem trying to control but Werst is having none of it.
Kasem is breathing heavily.
Werst is in all sorts of trouble here.

Werst manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Werst is trying to stand up here but Kasem is controlling him well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Werst is looking for a sweep. Kasem is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kasem is thwarting Werst's attempts to control the position.
Werst tries to get to full guard but Kasem has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Kasem closes the distance and pushes Werst back into the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aer Werst dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Werst drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kasem wants to control but Werst postures up.
Werst tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Kasem is trying to control Werst's posture but Werst avoids it.
Werst wants to control but Kasem is keeping him busy.
Kasem might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Werst cracks Kasem with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ground and pound from Werst seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Werst is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kasem pulls his head out easily.
Werst is trying to stand up here but Kasem is controlling him well.

Werst is trying to maintain the position but Kasem is very close to passing his half guard.
Kasem stops Werst from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Werst tries to roll over but Kasem keeps him under control.
Werst is looking to control Kasem's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Werst avoid being mounted?

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Werst tries to clinch but Kasem moves away

and Kasem counters by moving into the clinch.
Kasem tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Werst just stands there and leans against the cage.
Werst wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kasem has him pressed against the cage.

Kasem ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kasem no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Werst stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Werst tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kasem swivels and escapes.
Kasem shoots in but Werst avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Werst tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Kasem counters by clinching up.
Kasem avoids a wild elbow strike from Werst.
Werst has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Werst tries to break the clinch but Kasem is controlling the position.
Kasem blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Kasem breaks from the clinch.
Werst tries for a takedown but Kasem sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Khun Kasem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aer Werst.
Werst shoots in but Kasem avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Werst fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kasem avoids it really well and circles away.
Kasem tries to close the distance and clinch but Werst swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Khun Kasem dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Werst just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kasem's brow.

Kasem keeps control of Werst as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Werst throws a knee to the head but misses.
Werst working hard to break the clinch.
Kasem has Werst pressed against the cage, preventing Werst from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kasem keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Werst's efforts to push away.
Werst wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kasem has him pressed against the cage.

Kasem blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Werst is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

and Kasem counters with a nice leg kick.
Werst tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kasem was well out of range. Poor timing from Werst.
Werst has his takedown stuffed

and Kasem counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kasem.

Kasem wants the takedown. Werst is fighting it off but Kasem persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Werst's guard against the cage.
Werst tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Werst looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Werst keeping moving, preventing Kasem from controlling successfully.

Werst working for submissions but it's allowed Kasem to get to half guard.
Werst wants to get back to his feet.

Werst makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Werst is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Werst goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Kasem bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Werst sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Werst pushes Kasem off and gets back to his feet.
Kasem fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Khun Kasem. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kasem changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Werst tries to avoid it but Kasem manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Werst to the ground. Werst escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Werst lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kasem backwards.
Werst pushes off an throws an elbow but Kasem leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Werst moves in looking to clinch but Kasem pushes him off.

Kasem looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Werst is fending him off so far but Kasem persists. Nope, Werst circles away and we're back to standing.
Werst lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kasem fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Khun Kasem is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Werst throws a right and a left that both miss.

Kasem clinches up with Werst and pushes him back against the cage.
Werst tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Kasem tries to pull guard but Werst won't allow it.
Werst wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Kasem lands a knee to the head.
Werst tries to circle away but Kasem has him pinned against the cage.

Kasem prevents Werst from breaking the clinch.
Werst scores with a nice hook to the head.
Kasem has Werst pressed against the cage, preventing Werst from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Werst lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Kasem blocks an uppercut.

And that's the end of the fight!
Khun Kasem showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Kasem has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
